Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/callofduty4modernwarfare/index.html?tag=result;title;0
The best shooter to date on a console with loads of real weapons to unlock and use. Amazingly easy to get online and play against gobs of other people. Unbelievable graphics and realism with a fantastic single player campaign as well. A+!!
Forza Motorsport 2
http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/driving/forzamotorsport2/index.html?tag=result;title;0
The best racing simulator on the 360, hands down. Realistic physics, graphics and audio, and more cars than you could even want. Very deep single player career mode and a well balanced online mode that even includes car auctions to sell to other players.
Gears of War

This just may be my favorite shooter. Innovative system allowing you to take cover behind objects and some of the best graphics seen on the 360. Awesome voice acting by the characters and a very good sci-fi story make this a true hit!
Lost Odyssey
http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/rpg/lostodyssey/index.html?tag=result;title;0
A very solid Japanese RPG for the 360. Features old school turn based combat with some nice twists from the Ring System. Beautiful graphics and an interesting story. It also has a nice blend of mature themes (Not that kind) and humor.
Oblivion Game of the Year
http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/rpg/obliviongoty/index.html?tag=result;title;0
Unbelievably massive in scope where you can spend countless hours working on quests completely unrelated to the main storyline. This could very well be the finest 'Western-RPG' to date.
Mass Effect
http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/rpg/masseffect/index.html?tag=result;title;0
Fantastic sci-fi RPG on the XBOX360 and now PC. Featuring an epic storyline spread across the galaxy with an innovative combat system that is sure to be copied by others in the future. You don't have to be a fan of the RPG genre to enjoy Mass Effect.
